Pain management and the Mind-Body Connection

We are never disconnected at the neck!

Whatever happens in our minds- emotions, thought processes, perceptions, the five senses- is always reflected in our bodies. And, in the same way, what happens in our bodies is reflected and recorded in our minds. Some of the most important of these happenings have to do with pain- be it emotional, psychological or physical.

The very nature of hypnosis and self-hypnosis is helpful in coping with pain. Why? It is the opposite of being in a pain state. How can hypnosis help with pain?

  • Promotes relaxation

  • Changes your sense of pain

  • Distraction may help you focus on comfortable parts of your body

Self-hypnosis is easier to learn after you yourself have experienced hypnosis a few times. Kristine can teach you this! And learning and practicing self-hypnosis will put you back in charge of your experience!

Kristine offers her clients a variety of mind body options, including both outside resources, such as guided meditations and hypnosis audios and will engage your inner resources, to start changing the way you have been doing things up to this moment. So, rather than repeating those day to day patterns as you may have been in the past, she will offer you some ideas to build on, to investigate so you can notice how things begin to change moving forward. .

Pain may be mandatory, if you have a chronic illness or physical tissue damage, but suffering is optional.
