What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state which you enter, without even being aware of it, several times each day.
You enter a slight hypnotic state whenever you are doing something that is routine. For example:

  • Daydreaming

  • Engaging in a wonderful movie, book or video game

  • Driving from point A to point B and realizing you’ve reached point B without recalling much of the journey in between

  • Entering a natural trance state just before you fall asleep each evening

You will feel very relaxed, super aware and focused during hypnosis.

How does hypnosis work?

The mind is very open to suggestion and regularly takes in suggestive stimuli, such as thoughts and ideas, from internal and external sources. Much unbalance in life may be the consequence of negative thoughts, past experiences, guilty feelings or perceptions in one’s mind which may sabotage one’s happiness, health and progression in life.

By the time a person reaches adulthood, these negative modes of thinking may form patterns not easily broken.
Using hypnosis, we attempt to replace all these negative perceptions with positive ones. It may take time to break old habits, so patience may be required if there is no immediate effect though through continued practice you will eventually notice change. It is important to note too that although there may not be an apparent change on the surface, a restructuring is going on at subconscious level.

Can everyone be hypnotized?

Yes, a trance state is naturally experienced just before falling asleep each evening. However, a person may resist hypnosis the same way that a person may resist going to sleep. Interestingly enough, even if one resists hypnosis the resistance can be overcome with repeated practice.
