Hypnotherapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

If you are experiencing post- traumatic stress disorder hypnotherapy may be beneficial in providing positive coping mechanisms and healing emotional pain and unwanted physiological responses.

Self-help tools and techniques may be offered to incorporate into your daily self-care practice.

I use an integrated approach to help my clients reach their hypnotic goals. This may include, but is not limited to Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), anchoring, the use of metaphors, direct suggestion, neuroplasticity, energy work as well as hypnosis.

Hypnotherapy may be beneficial in managing symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Hypnosis is a safe, natural and altered state of consciousness, where you aren’t quite awake and not fully asleep. Your physical body and conscious mind experience a relaxed state while your unconscious mind remains in a heightened state of suggestibility. In this space you are open to suggestion, positive resource states, i.e. linking an internal feeling with an external experience, and is a space where negative beliefs and unwanted programs can be updated, changed and overcome using the powers of your own mind.

Hypnosis also induces the relaxation response as muscles loosen, breathing deepens, heartbeat slows, and blood pressure drops. This relaxation response is the physiological opposite of stress, and is beneficial in neutralizing those unwanted thoughts or emotions you may be experiencing through PTSD.

You can expect me to follow your pace and proceed as you are comfortable.

I will provide and suggest resources for you to explore and use between your sessions as you move toward reaching your hypnotic goals.

2, 3 and 5 Session Packages include custom audios for your continued healing between sessions. Audios are also available for purchase.

If you live outside of the Okanagan in BC you may choose to have an online session.

Have your session for the comfort of your own home. You can plan for an initial session to be 90 minutes in duration with subsequent sessions approximately 60 minutes.

If you live in the Okanagan I offer in-person sessions through my Kelowna office space.

Have your session in my cozy office space. You can expect your first session to be up to 120 minutes in duration with subsequent sessions being about 60-90 minutes long.
